If you’re itching to level up your life—be it your downward dog, your bank account, or that nagging mental fog—the Moncton Wellness Expo is calling your name. Happening April 12-13, 2025, at the Moncton Coliseum, this isn’t your average kale-smoothie shakedown. It’s a non-profit affair that’s been quietly revolutionizing well-being in the Maritimes since 2004, pulling in everyone from yoga buffs to skeptical GPs with a vibe that’s equal parts earnest and electric.
Recharge, Reset, Repeat
From Humble Roots to Holistic Hotspot
What started as a scrappy little wellness meet-up has morphed into a full-blown movement. Now in its 21st year, the Wellness Expo has gone from grassroots to gold standard, connecting attendees with a dizzying array of experts—think nurses, naturopaths, and farmers who know their soil from their soy. Event Manager Cherie sums it up: “We are all on a personal wellness journey and now more than ever, personal responsibility is key to living well,” In 2019, the Moncton Wellness Expo flipped to a non-profit run by its exhibitors, widening the net to include a broader spectrum of health heroes.
No Fluff, Just the Tough Stuff
Past expos have tackled the tough stuff—aging, end-of-life prep, personal health pivots—with a candour that sticks. “In the past, the Expo has taken on topics that can be sensitive, or simply hard for people to discuss,” said Cherie. Attendees leave buzzing. Long-time attendee Jeff MacLeod says, “I always walk out with a fresh take. Judy Underhill from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition agrees: “People leave lit up, armed with tools, and counting down to next year.”
This year’s theme, Focus on Mental Health, hits the zeitgeist hard. With 20-ish workshops and talks—covering stress hacks, emotional grit, and therapies you didn’t know you needed—it’s a timely nudge to prioritize the stuff upstairs. “The more we tune in and respond positively to our own physical, emotional and mental needs, the better our chances of living well and feeling great,” Cherie says, sounding like the friend you wish you’d listened to sooner.
What’s in Store? A Little Bit of Everything
Whether you’re a fitness fiend or just here for the free samples, the Moncton Wellness Expo delivers:
-
Exhibitors & Vendors: A curated lineup of wellness pros, from big-name health brands to indie practitioners offering natural approaches.
-
Talks & Workshops: Pros dish on sleep, nutrition, and mindfulness—no fluff, just the good stuff.
-
Community Hub: A shiny new zone with demos and hands-on tips to kickstart your next move.
Keeping It Real (and Affordable)
Accessibility’s the name of the game. Vendor booths are priced like it’s still 2019, and with 20,000 free passes floating around through Sobey’s and Eventbrite, no one’s left out. “We don’t want wallets to be the wall,” Cherie insists. At $5 a pop otherwise, it’s cheaper than your morning oat latte.
Big Ambitions, Small-Town Soul
While glitzy corporate health fairs flounder, Moncton’s Expo thrives on its small-town soul. “It has grown up over the years and maintained many of its community connections along the way,” Cherie says, and that’s the secret sauce. However the Moncton Wellness Expo’s got big ambitions—think tighter ties with organic growers, sporty rec groups, and legit healthcare crews. They’re even plotting a tourism glow-up, with weekend packages and a Maritime-wide marketing push. First chats kick off in May. Watch this space.
Your Move
Wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all, and this event gets that. Whether you’re a holistic newbie or a kombucha-chugging vet, the Moncton Wellness Expo is your shot to connect, learn, and maybe even rethink your whole deal.
