There are two kinds of people in New Brunswick come February: those who embrace the cold and those who do everything possible to avoid it. Whichever camp you fall into, one thing is certain—there is no better way to warm up than with a steaming bowl of soup. That’s exactly why Soupfest 2025 is back in Moncton next week, promising another year of rich flavours, local culinary talent, and a whole lot of community spirit.
Sip, Savour, Support
Hosted by the United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick, this much-anticipated fundraiser has been a staple of winter in the region for over 17 years. More than just a chance to sample delicious soups from some of the best local chefs and restaurants, Soupfest is an opportunity to support 26 programs run by 25 community agencies that provide essential services to people across southeastern New Brunswick. With every sip, spoonful, and satisfied sigh, you’re contributing to something bigger—helping fund initiatives that make a real impact in local communities.
Soupfest is one of those rare events that checks every box. It’s a chance to experience some of the best soups southeastern New Brunswick has to offer, from classic comfort foods to bold and unexpected flavour combinations. It’s a perfect midday break to shake off the winter blues, reconnect with friends, and rub elbows with fellow soup lovers. And above all, it’s a meaningful way to give back, ensuring that essential community programs continue to thrive.
There’s even an added incentive to bring a little sustainability into the mix. Attendees who bring their own spoon will be entered into a prize draw, making it even easier to justify showing up, ladle in hand.
With winter in full swing, there’s no better excuse to step out, warm up, and enjoy a truly comforting meal. Soupfest 2025 is calling—will you be there?
The event will take place Tuesday, February 4, 2025. To ensure everyone gets a fair shot at indulging, Soupfest is divided into two tasting sessions. The first runs from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and the second takes place from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. Each session is limited to 425 tickets, and if history is any indication, they won’t last long. A handful of tickets may be available at the door for $25, but once they’re gone, they’re gone. If a winter storm rolls in, there’s no need to worry—a backup date has already been set for Wednesday, February 5 to ensure nobody misses out.

Hi Stella! We saw this on Eventbrite a couple of weeks ago. We do our best to post events on the platform, but there’s always so much to keep up with!
