Health Canada warns against dangerous sexual enhancement products seized in Moncton, New Brunswick, containing undisclosed drugs.
Love Pills Peril
Health Canada has issued a stark warning about unauthorized sexual enhancement products seized from stores across several provinces, including New Brunswick, Ontario, Quebec, and Manitoba. The agency's recent public advisory highlights the serious health risks associated with these products, which were found to contain undisclosed and potentially dangerous ingredients.
Among the seized items were products like "Åžahmerdan," "Epimedyumlu Macun," "7K," and "Black Mamba Premium," confiscated from various retail locations in Canada, including Sensation O Boutique on Mountain Road in Moncton, New Brunswick. Health Canada's testing revealed these products contain prescription drugs not listed on their labels, such as sildenafil, tadalafil, and levodopa.
Health Risks
The unauthorized inclusion of prescription medications in these products poses significant health dangers. Sildenafil and tadalafil, commonly used in approved erectile dysfunction treatments, can cause severe side effects including sudden blood pressure changes, heart attacks, and strokes8. Levodopa, typically prescribed for Parkinson's disease, can lead to severe nausea, hallucinations, and involuntary movements.
Consumer Alert
Health Canada strongly urges consumers to avoid purchasing or using these unauthorized products. The lack of proper labeling and approval means there's no guarantee of safety, quality, or effectiveness. Individuals who have used these products are advised to consult a healthcare professional immediately if they have health concerns.
