Pamela Court: A Vision for Beausoleil, NB

Pamela Court is a dedicated mother of three, a passionate yogi, and a vibrant singing waitress. She is running for the Mayor’s seat in Beausoleil, New Brunswick, in the upcoming by-election on December 9th. Born to parents who faced significant challenges with the medical system, Court has a deep commitment to health and transparency. Her mother’s struggle with inappropriate pharmaceutical treatments and her father’s adverse reaction to the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine have driven her to seek accountability and justice in healthcare. Court is a friend to many, holding love and faith at the core of her life and campaign. She believes in unity and the shared bond of humanity, asserting that we are all interconnected in love and spirit.

Three Fixes for Beausoleil's Future

1. Fostering Connection

Court's first initiative seeks to tackle loneliness and isolation within Beausoleil by introducing a community program called "Adopt a Grandparent." The program would match residents of different generations, fostering relationships that transcend age and loneliness. This initiative aims not only to keep older community members in their homes longer but to enrich lives through shared experiences and love. "There are too many lonely people out there," Court says, emphasizing the power of community support and connection.

2. Building Spaces for Everyone

Court proposes the construction of a new community centre, equipped with a pool and a hockey rink, to serve as a hub for all residents—regardless of race, ethnicity, or language abilities. This centre would leverage available funding for community projects to create a welcoming space that also accommodates those with disabilities. "Imagine a place where everyone is welcome," Court envisions, highlighting the use of tools like Google Translate to foster inclusivity. The centre would not only provide recreational facilities but also serve as a beacon for community engagement and inclusion.

3. A New Approach to Wellness

Drawing from a deeply personal tragedy, Court is dedicated to establishing a wellness centre focused on holistic health—mental, spiritual, and physical. Her mother’s unfortunate passing due to inadequate mental health support has motivated Court to advocate for natural healing practices over pharmaceutical solutions. The proposed wellness centre would feature programs centred around yoga, meditation, forest bathing, cold plunging, and grounding—activities known to help regulate the nervous system and promote overall well-being. "We need to include nature in our healing journey and reconnect with Mother Earth," Court  says, proposing a community-run model that empowers residents to take an active role in their health and wellness.

Each of these initiatives reflects Pamela Court’s vision for a Beausoleil that not only survives but thrives through connectivity, inclusivity, and a profound respect for nature. Her campaign promises to bring about significant changes, making Beausoleil a shining example of what it means to care for all its residents.
